- Brief Project Description
- PAARSS III (Projecto de Abastecimento de Água Rural e de Saneamento em Sofala) is the third phase of the Austrian support to the Province of Sofala regarding improved access to clean water and sanitation. It includes capacity building to the DPOPH Sofala as well as the provision of basic infrastructure in Sofala (100 hand pump wells, 10 solar energy driven wells, rehabilitation of further 50 wells, 250 EcoLatrines to households and 50 integrated water and sanitation systems to schools in Sofala). The project area is concentrated in the geographical area of the 7 Districts of Marromeu, Cheringoma, Dondo, Buzi, Muanza Machanga and Chibabawa and the 2 Municipalities of Marromeu and Dondo.
