Up Scaling Conservation Agriculture for Improved Food Security Using the CAADP Framework (UP-CA) (copy)

Brief Project Description

This is a regional project whose goal is to reduce food insecurity by vulnerable farming households from Lesotho, Mozambique, Swaziland and Zimbabwe. The result (outcome) for Mozambique will be improved household food availability from own production by 10,000 the beneficiaries. Through the project, the food insecure period for these households will be reduced. Their food security situation will be stabilized to improve resilience to shocks e.g. those emanating from the soaring food prices and extreme weather conditions. The project will contribute to priorities on sustained agricultural production, food security and natural resource management in the four countries and the SADC region.
