- Brief Project Description
- Improve political and institutional framework of the forestry sector and a better investment climate for sustainable forest management is the project expected main outcome. Its main outputs are: 1. Political decision makers and opinion leaders aware of the contribution of the forests to the country’s economy, to rural poverty alleviation and to climate change adaptation and mitigation. 2. Mozambican public informed about the strategic importance of sustainable forestry and sound dendro-energy consumption for the country’s development and its contribution to climate change mitigation. 3. Creation and operation of a National Forest Control Unit (NFCU) 4. Creation and operation of a National Forestry Administration and Control System (SISFLOF), including a forest law enforcement module
