Project Fact Sheet for DP.0698

Project / Programme Title
Emergency Shelter Assistance in Cyclone Affected Regions of Mozambique
Brief Project Description
In response to the urgent requirements of cyclone affected populations in Zambezia Province, IOM with support from OFDA/USAID and the UN HCT has implemented an emergency response project to procure and distribute emergency shelter goods, tools and other NFIs to approximately 5000 families that lost homes and assets. IOM facilitated and received delivery of direct in-kind donations of 1200 tarpaulin rolls (10 tarps each) and 8000 collapsible 10 litre water containers. Additionally IOM will procure additional materials for shelter toolkits and facilitate links with the government and partners for transport and distribution of needed materials to highly-affected families.
