- Brief Project Description
- i)Overall Objective : To contribute to the overall efforts towards improvement of the living conditions of populations affected by the 2013 floods in Mozambique Specific Objective 1 : To provide immediate shelter and infrastructure assistance for protection and security to IDPs relocated after flooding in Gaza Province. ii) Outcomes • 70,000 IDPs are sheltered in accordance with sphere standards (total) • Minimum 750 families (3750 IDPs) have received direct support in Non food items or community infrastructure through this project fund. (iii) Project’s activities • Provide technical management support to local government and partners to coordinate and track distribution and delivery of NFIs to vulnerable IDPs • Purchasing, clearing and delivery of Non food items to Gaza Provinces • Provide transitional shelter to vulnerable IDPs in Gaza Provinces • Provide transitional shelter and protection infrastructure required in relocation sites, particularly water, sanitation, lighting and other identified needs.
