Project Fact Sheet for A-035262-001

Project / Programme Title
Increasing Demand for Childbirth Health
Brief Project Description
The ultimate goal of the initiative is to decrease maternal and newborn mortality in Mozambique. It will do this by (i) testing a package of household and community based incentives to reduce access barriers to and increase demand for maternal and reproductive health services; (ii) partnering these with facility-based performance incentives designed to improve quality of MNCH services; and (iii) supporting the scientific evaluation of these pilot interventions in order to provide an evidence-base for future Government of Mozambique policy decisions in the areas of demand-side and performance-based financing.
